At My Family Resource, we provide personalized, high-quality services tailored to your needs — therapy, coaching, advocacy, and professional support for Massachusetts families and the professionals who serve them.
At My Family Resource, we understand that life’s challenges can feel overwhelming — whether faced alone or within the dynamics of a family. Our individual and family therapy services provide a safe, compassionate space to explore your emotions, navigate difficulties, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
Individual Therapy: One-on-one sessions help you address personal challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions. Through evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, we work collaboratively to uncover your strengths, develop coping strategies, and achieve your goals.
Family Therapy: We help families navigate challenges such as blended-family dynamics, grief, or behavioral concerns with children and adolescents. Using systemic and relational approaches, we create a non-judgmental environment where every voice is heard and practical solutions promote balance and connection.
Our parent and caregiver coaching services empower you with the tools, strategies, and confidence to navigate caregiving with ease — whether you’re facing specific challenges, strengthening your connection, or simply looking for guidance.
Parent Coaching: Individualized sessions tailored to each family’s unique circumstances and dynamics, addressing concerns such as communication, behavior management, and navigating transitions.
Navigating complex systems — like special education, disability services, or mental health resources — can feel daunting. We bring expertise in special education, disability rights, and community resources, with a deep understanding of Massachusetts systems, to simplify the journey and help you achieve the best outcomes.
Navigating Special Education Systems: Understanding IEPs, 504 Plans, and school-based services to ensure your child receives appropriate accommodations.
Accessing Disability Services: Connecting you with state and local resources such as early intervention, developmental disability services, and vocational rehabilitation programs in Massachusetts.
Coordinating Mental Health & Community Support: Linking you to therapists, support groups, and community programs tailored to your family’s needs.
Advocacy & Follow-Through: Guiding you through paperwork, eligibility requirements, and agency meetings to secure services — while advocating for your rights and needs.
We know that navigating special education and disability services can feel overwhelming. Our advocacy services empower parents and caregivers to confidently advocate for their child’s needs, ensuring they receive the support, accommodations, and opportunities they deserve.
Special Education Advocacy: We partner with families to navigate the special education system — from understanding IEPs and 504 Plans to securing accommodations and services. We help you prepare for school meetings, interpret evaluations, and communicate effectively with educators, whether your child has learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism, or other unique needs.
Disability Advocacy: We support families in accessing resources, services, and rights for individuals with disabilities of all ages — from community supports to accommodations in educational, medical, and community settings, including early intervention, transition planning, and adult services.
Our group therapy services offer a safe, supportive environment where individuals and families can connect with others facing similar challenges, explore emotions, and develop skills.
Current Groups: While we currently have no active groups, we are excited to plan future groups tailored to your needs — such as managing anxiety, navigating family dynamics, and supporting special needs. We are also developing specialized groups to build interpersonal skills, self-advocacy, and social connection for neurodiverse youth, adolescents, and young adults.
